Here is how it all ended.

Sarge and his BAR gunner took out the remaining Germans at the top of the steps.

They had a little help from the engineers on the other side of the hill.

All that remained was the German command in the bunker. They ran when they knew US forces would soon be crossing the bridge..

The game could have went either way many times. There was never a dull moment.
